I manufacture custom jewelry that you design. I have been making custom jewelry, for my online customers, since 1999. The pictures on this blog represent some of my work created over the last few months. I can work in either sterling silver or gold but my customers mostly prefer silver.

I have done jewelry pieces with or without gemstones. The gemstones that are used can be natural or synthetic. If you have your own stones you would like to put in your unique ring or pendant I might be able to use them in your custom piece.

I do not copy jewelry designs already made. All my pieces are one-of-a-kind unless my client wants multiple copies of their design. In that case, a rubber mold is made of the first piece that has been carved from wax and cast in silver or gold. Using the rubber mold, a wax mold of the design is produced without it having to be carved.

My labor charge to make a simple pendant starts at $150. This labor charge is based on the complexity of the design. For a custom ring the labor charge begins at $250.

You only pay for the metal that is actually used in your unique pendant or ring. In gold either 10 or 14 karat can be used. The color can be yellow or white in either karat. I don't cast in platinum.

This post contains some of my most recent sterling silver custom jewelry pieces that I manufactured for my Internet customers. They are made from unique designs that my customers described to me in email. Sometimes they send me pictures of exactly what they want in the pendant or bracelet design. Other times they give me a good idea of the design and I send them a sketch for their approval before any work begins. The pendant design pictured above had special sentimental value to my customer.

Pictured above is a clock face bracelet where the design was cut into the wax model and after it was cast in silver the engraved parts were antiqued to give them a dark finish.

Above is a "if pigs could fly" pendant I made recently. It was done from a picture my customer had and wanted the design made into a special custom pendant. Below is a unique sterling silver horseshoe pendant which was also made using a picture the customer had of the design to go by.

The picture below is a sterling silver "tree of life" pendant I made that the original picture of the design was modified by the customer. The design was simplified and names are engraved on the tree roots in the pendant.

The three pictures on this post are examples of recent custom jewelry pieces I have made for my Internet customers. The first picture is a ladies horseshoe ring with diamonds made in yellow gold. Pictured in this post is some of the recent work I have made for my customers. The top picture is a gents gold ring done with an ank design on a textured finish band. The customer provided the gold used to make this ring. On the right is a fabricated gents bracelet that was done in sterling silver. This bracelet was not cast but was made using silver wire and parts.

On the left is a unique custom made sterling silver piano ring. All my work is one-of-a-kind so I don't make duplicates of designs I've already made for my customers. If the customer wants additional copies of a design I made for them a rubber mold is made of the original. This rubber mold is used to make additional copies of the piece.

If you have a custom jewelry design you would like made in either gold and silver I can make it according to your specifications. Your pendant or ring can be made in either sterling silver or 10 or 14 karat gold. The gold can be either white or yellow color.

Your design can include any gemstones of your choice including diamonds, rubies, emeralds or sapphires. I can also set synthetic gemstones in your custom jewelry design such as cubic zirconia or birthstones.

Custom Meteorite Jewelry - The Falling Star Pendant from Payne's Custom Jewelry

Meteorites have always fascinated me so about a year ago I started my own meteorite collection. I purchased some with which to make custom jewelry. Pictured above is my new custom meteorite jewelry design. I am calling this the "Falling Star Pendant". This sterling silver pendant is set with a genuine nickel-iron meteorite from China which fell to earth in May of 1516. This unique designer pendant weighs 16 grams and is 45 mm tall (1-3/4 inches) from the top of the bail.

The two general types of meteorites are stony and metallic. I have only collected the metal variety so far. They have the classic meteorite look.

Some meteorites are called individuals and other are classifies as fragments. The individuals have their surface eroded by the atmosphere and have regmaglyphs or ablation cavities on the surface of the specimen.

I have collected meteorites from Russia, China and Argentina. All have particular characteristics that set them apart from each other. To start your own "out of this world" collection just go to Ebay and search for "iron meteorite".
