I manufacture custom jewelry that you design. I have been making custom jewelry, for my online customers, since 1999. The pictures on this blog represent some of my work created over the last few months. I can work in either sterling silver or gold but my customers mostly prefer silver.

I have done jewelry pieces with or without gemstones. The gemstones that are used can be natural or synthetic. If you have your own stones you would like to put in your unique ring or pendant I might be able to use them in your custom piece.

I do not copy jewelry designs already made. All my pieces are one-of-a-kind unless my client wants multiple copies of their design. In that case, a rubber mold is made of the first piece that has been carved from wax and cast in silver or gold. Using the rubber mold, a wax mold of the design is produced without it having to be carved.

My labor charge to make a simple pendant starts at $150. This labor charge is based on the complexity of the design. For a custom ring the labor charge begins at $250.

You only pay for the metal that is actually used in your unique pendant or ring. In gold either 10 or 14 karat can be used. The color can be yellow or white in either karat. I don't cast in platinum.

Pictured on this blog are some pieces of recently made custom designed jewelry I did for my Internet customers. The original was hand carved and cast in silver and a rubber mold was made from it which was used to make the additional pendant.

The unique cross and flower design pendant is done in sterling silver. If I make a unique original piece for you I will not make a duplicate of the design unless you ask for it. This insures that your design will not be duplicated without your permission.

The image below is a custom designed bracelet made in 14 karat white gold with beads set in each link that the customer provided. The first link was cast in gold and a rubber mold was made. This mold was used to make the other links used in this custom bracelet.

Pictured on the left is a unique custom ring done in sterling silver with a round black onyx stone set in the center. Your ring can be made in either silver or gold. Any gemstones you wish can be set in the design. The possibilities are endless.

My name is Tony Payne and I have been a jewelry designer for over 25 years. I manufacture handmade custom jewelry that my customers design. This includes unique handmade pendants of all types. The picture above is a birthstone pendant done in 14 karat yellow gold. The pendant on the right is done in 14 karat white gold and is set with 3 diamonds that the customer provided.

Your jewelry can be made in either sterling silver, 10 or 14 karat gold or platinum. Any gemstones you choose can be included in the design. All the pictures on this blog are examples of jewelry that I have done for my Internet customers.

I can make a sketch of your pendant design for your approval. This service is free. Once you approve the sketch and I receive your down payment a wax model is carved of the design. You will receive picture updates of the wax model as it is being made.

After your approval this wax model is cast in the precious metal of your choice. The model is destroyed by extreme heat in the jewelry making procedure. This ancient jewelry making process is called "lost wax casting".

The South America pendant pictured above was done recenty in sterling silver.

A handmade jewelry design is usually first sketched on paper for your approval. The design is then carved in wax by Tony to your exact specifications. Pictures of the wax model are sent to you before your handmade ring or pendant is cast in metal.

Your custom jewelry can be made in either sterling silver, gold or platinum. If gold is used it can either be 10, 14 or 18 karat. The gold can also be white, yellow or red (rose) color.

Any gemstones you wish can be set in your custom ring or pendant design. You can use natural or synthetic stones in your handmade jewelry. Tony can even set your own stones in the jewelry piece.

This gemstone is fossilized coprolite, or poop, from a dinosaur that lived millions of years ago in Utah. The beautiful red and white color stone has a mirror polish.

Custom Designed White Gold Bulldog Ring from Payne's Custom Jewelry

Unique Custom Bulldog Ring

Pictured above is a custom bulldog ring I recently made for a customer of mine. It is handmade in white gold and the dog has genuine blue diamond eyes. This ring was designed from a picture my customer sent of a particular dog. Below is the sketch I sent to her for her approval.

After I received her OK, I carved a wax model of the design.

The custom ring was cast in white gold using the lost wax casting method. It was then filed, sanded and polished to get the desired high polish finish. The two natural blue diamonds were then set for the eyes.
